Goalie Pad Guide was built by a hockey parent who got frustrated shopping for pads. Retailer "best of" lists are affiliate content. Forum threads are scattered and often years out of date. There's no central place that shows how pads compare across the axes that actually matter.

So we built one. The catalog covers every major pad line from CCM, Bauer, Vaughn, True, Warrior, and Brian's — scored across 7 axes, with honest notes about known issues and confidence levels where data is thin.

The home page is a single canonical ranking of all pads, sorted by composite score (sum of all 7 axes, max 35). There's no form to fill out — the ranking is the recommendation. Methodology explains the scoring; brand and model pages let you browse and compare directly.

What this site isn't

• Not affiliated with any brand or retailer
• No affiliate links — there's no financial incentive in any recommendation
• Not based on field testing — scores are synthesized from community data and public specs
• Not a shop — we link to retailers but don't sell anything
• Not a blog — no recurring content to maintain

The full catalog, scoring logic, and site code are open source. View the repository on GitHub. If you spot a wrong score, a missing model, or a data error — open an issue or a PR.
