CCM EFlex EFlex 7 Pro
FlagshipDUALITECORE soft profile, Cross Glide Technology, spring 2026 release
Base price: $1899·Style: hybrid·Level ceiling: AAA·Sizing: true
The EFlex 7 Pro is CCM's 2026 flagship in the EFlex line — their soft, hybrid-friendly option running parallel to (not above) the Axis butterfly line. The EFlex has historically targeted goalies who want flexibility and seal over maximum rebound; the 7 Pro is the current top of that direction.
New for spring 2026: DUALITECORE — a dual-density soft core that CCM claims balances flexibility and rebound better than EFlex 6. Cross Glide Technology is a new flex-track system intended to smooth out the pad's break motion. Infinite Power Rebound is CCM's marketing name for the core's rebound characteristics.
The honest picture: EFlex 6 had documented quality problems — nylon binding came apart and boot strap material failed in community reports. EFlex 7 Pro addresses these issues on paper, but it's a spring 2026 release with limited long-term data. More fundamentally, soft CCM cores have historically broken down sooner than competing soft-core lines like the Vaughn V10. That reputation precedes the EFlex 7 Pro.
Best for: AAA hybrid goalies who specifically want CCM's soft-core feel and trust the new DUALITECORE to outlast the EFlex 6's durability issues.
Not ideal for: anyone who wants flagship-price durability — the Vaughn V10 Pro Carbon is a better soft-core investment at $400 less; butterfly goalies who belong in the Axis line anyway.
Scores
Score breakdown
durability
2/5Soft CCM cores break down sooner than competing soft-core options per community consensus. EFlex 6 had binding and strap failures. EFlex 7 Pro is new — may be better, but unproven. Durability score of 2 reflects both the track record and the uncertainty.
mobility
4/5Soft-core construction and hybrid geometry create good rotational mobility. Not the lightest pad — other soft-core options like Vaughn V10 are faster.
rebound
3/5Soft core means controlled, flat rebounds rather than lively pops. That's the trade-off for hybrid seal. Score reflects the rebound ceiling, not a flaw.
sliding
3/5CCM Speedskin is the weakest major slide system. No change at flagship tier — materials are the same.
comfort
3/5Soft core is forgiving for hybrid positions. Early EFlex 7 reviews note improved fit over EFlex 6, but not enough data for high confidence.
value
2/5At $1,899 with a poor durability track record and unproven 2026 construction, value is hard to justify. The Vaughn V10 Pro at $1,299 is a better soft-core buy.
resale
4/5CCM brand popularity maintains used demand even for the EFlex line. Flagship-tier pricing helps short-term resale if you sell quickly.
