Warrior Ritual G7 Ritual G7
ValueValue G7; transition tier from youth, top-end performance for the price
Base price: $599·Style: butterfly·Level ceiling: AA·Sizing: true
The Ritual G7 is the value-tier entry in Warrior's G7 line — junior, intermediate, and senior sizing at $599. It's positioned as the transition pad from youth gear into serious play, and it punches significantly above its price point. Warrior's G7 generation brought the whole line to a softer, more forgiving butterfly seal than the G6, and that feel is present even at the value tier.
Construction steps down from the G7 Pro's full HyperComp internals but keeps the G7 generation's single 1-piece core and single external break — same class-leading weight. Sturdy double-elastic Velcro strapping carries through from the Pro tier. Removable liner is absent (Pro-tier feature), but strapping and core quality are both above average for the price band.
The 180-day warranty applies at every G7 tier including this one. For a $599 value pad, a shorter warranty stings less than at flagship price, but it's worth knowing before you buy.
Best for: AA butterfly goalies transitioning from youth gear or beginner pads; junior or intermediate goalies whose parents want adult-level construction without adult-level price.
Not ideal for: goalies who need the removable liner from the G7 Pro; buyers who want better brand resale (Bauer Vapor X3 at $599 holds used value much better).
Scores
Score breakdown
durability
4/5Single 1-piece core and double-elastic Velcro strapping are durability strengths at this price. Value-tier materials are a step down from the G7 Pro. 180-day warranty applies — shorter than industry norm.
mobility
5/5Same G7 core and weight as the flagship line. Class-leading weight at the value tier — lighter than any comparable pad from Bauer, CCM, or True at $599.
rebound
4/5Single external break and G7 core deliver solid butterfly rebounds at AA level. Slightly less pop than the G7 Pro above but appropriate for the level ceiling.
sliding
4/5Warrior's slide system is consistent across the G7 line. Behind Vaughn and Brian's, better than CCM Speedskin. Fine for AA-level use.
comfort
5/5Double-elastic Velcro strapping is one of the best comfort features in the value tier. G7 softer feel is more forgiving for younger goalies still refining their technique.
value
5/5Strong value: class-leading weight, solid construction, full G7 architecture at $599. Best value pick in the $500-$700 range for a goalie who prioritizes mobility.
resale
3/5Warrior's smaller used market means value pads take longer to sell than comparable Bauer pads. Resale percentage is reasonable; turnover time is the issue.
